Approval of games is excellent for Brazil's macroeconomy

EXCELLENT NEWS FOR THE BRAZILIAN MACROECONOMY, GAMBLING AND CASINOS HAVE BEEN APPROVED IN THE CHAMBER OF DEPUTIES!

February 24, 2022 was a historic milestone for Brazil's Macroeconomy , with the vote and approval of GAMES & CASINOS IN BRAZIL, PL 442/91 passed with 55% of the valid votes in the Chamber of Deputies , the result of great articulation, work and strategy of public and private leaders in favor of strengthening the economic and social scenario of our beloved Brazil.

Next Steps: Bill 442/91 has been under consideration since June 7, 2023, in the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) and in the plenary, with Senator Davi Alcolumbre as rapporteur. If the Senate makes any changes to the text, the bill will return to the Chamber of Deputies for review of the revising chamber's suggestions. The bill will be voted on in the Chamber of Deputies, and if approved, it will be returned to Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco for vote in the chamber. If approved, it will be submitted for presidential signature, and upon signature, the law will come into effect.

I defend this thesis of macroeconomic impact, as President of IDT-CEMA, specialist in tourism, hospitality, gaming and business management, which are based on the great strategic opportunity for Brazil's economic recovery, after the economic and social crisis generated by the pandemic, with the impactful boost resulting from the approval of this liberal and comprehensive PL on Gaming and Casinos.

This fact will enable, a priori, the insertion of approximately USD 70 billion in national and international investments, which will directly activate the real estate, construction, furniture, decoration, technology, and industrial markets; followed by the qualification of professionals with academia and educational institutions; to then reach the operation, enhancing the destination Brazil with its 52 tourism segments such as hotels, gastronomy, events, culture, transportation, shows, and commerce in general.

The results of implementing these actions, with conservative projections, provide the capacity to generate double-digit millions of jobs, more than $20 billion in taxes, and create numerous synergistic opportunities for the resumption of Brazil's economic growth.

It is worth noting that gambling already exists in Brazil, with legal ones such as Mega-Sena, tele-sena , horse racing and sports betting generating more than $40 billion in revenue, and unfortunately there are illegal ones such as illegal bingo and casinos , jogo do bicho and others that are currently in the hands of offenders with an estimated revenue of more than $30 billion and that did not collect taxes or generate formal labor, which with the approval of the law could become legal, thus collecting taxes, generating jobs in the portfolio, drastically reducing currency evasion and money laundering.
