IV FBGA – SUSTAINABLE TOURISM PANEL

The 4th FBGA Brazil Forum on Environmental Management, organized by WF Willian Freitas and Fabio Fruch, took place at the Serra Negra Convention Center in partnership with CIRCUIT DAS AGUAS PAULISTA, from November 22nd to 24th, featuring a trade fair of ESG products, services and solutions, and strategic panels for the sustainable development of Brazil.

The panel with the largest audience at FBGA was the one on SUSTAINABLE TOURISM, organized and moderated by Bruno Omori, president of IDTCEMA. He began the panel by highlighting the three ESG pillars: "Social, Environmental, and Economic," emphasizing that without creating synergy between them, sustainable tourism does not exist. He highlighted international cases such as Nevada, which integrates the Grand Canyon with the large dam and preservation area with the city of Las Vegas in the desert, yet receives abundant water. For example, its large fountains and pools have relatively improved the original desert climate. Furthermore, it has the largest CVB in the world with over 500 employees, attracting events from all segments in the city with the largest supply of hotel accommodation units on the planet. Thus, games represent 45% of revenue, and 55% comes from events, tourism, sports, shopping, and gastronomy.

Omori emphasized that to achieve sustainable tourism, we need diversity and multidisciplinary knowledge, which is why the panel includes leaders from the following sectors: public sector, regionalization, accessibility, green certification, hoteliers, tourist attractions, technology, and inputs.

The Mayor of Monte Alegre do Sul and President of the Circuito das Aguas Paulista Consortium, Edson Rodrigo, presented the strength of regionalization with a relevant project for waste collection and recycling in the 9 cities. He also addressed the power of promoting tourism together and the need to implement the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sergio Franco, director of the Rede dos Sonhos de Hotéis (Dream Hotel Network), presented the success story of the 4 hotels and the Institute, with the implementation of 100% sustainable and accessible products that, in addition to meeting ESG pillars, have produced international awards and allow for one of the best average occupancy rates in Brazil.

Vinicius Finco da São Carlos Móveis trouxe cases implementados em redes internacionais e hotéis independentes de produtos como tapetes 100% produzidos com garrafas pet reciclados que mantem a temperatura agradável e são antiácaro; o Edison Passafaro da ABNT ,explanou sobre a importância do turismo ser acessível e respeitar o desenho universal para atender mais de 40 milhões de pessoas com deficiência no Brasil, apresentou cases internacionais de turismo de aventura para PCD em países da Europa e America do Norte; o Mauricio Rocha da AUTICOMP apresentou cases de como a tecnologia melhora a produção, diminui o uso de materiais e influencia positivamente a formação de profissionais e da sociedade, apresentou um aplicativo de interação gamificado com alunos sobre preservação e sustentabilidade onde a criança aprende jogando seu game preferido.

Cibele Dib da ASHORES Associação de Hotéis e Restaurantes de Serra Negra, expos a força do associativismo para implantação de ações sustentáveis em parceria de fornecedores, governo e dos empresários; e Rogerio Iório do IBDN – Instituto Brasileiro de Defesa da Natureza apresentou cases de Neutralização de Carbono da Feira EXPOTEL, da SETUR-SP , de cidades com São Roque, do Porto do Rio de Janeiro, assim como a implantação do Selo Eco Responsável em redes como a Travel Inn , Bourbon e Atrio, com retornos além do social e ambienta, inclusive de mídia espontânea e aumento de faturamento.

Foram realizadas visitas técnicas do IDT-CEMA na Rede dos Sonhos (Hotel Fazenda Terra dos Sonhos e Colina dos Sonhos) do hoteleiro José Fernandes , onde fora visualizado a implementação de energia sustentável, coleta seletiva, horta orgânica, acessibilidade em todas as Uhs , áreas comuns e até nos atrativos de turismo de aventura, programas de qualificação com os colaboradores, programa de compostagem e de geração de arte através do uso de materiais reciclados.
