5th Metropolitan Tourism Forum “DTI – Smart Tourist Destination”

The 5th Metropolitan Tourism Forum was organized by ADETUR Rotas do Pinhão, chaired by Eros Tozetto, in partnership with the City Hall and the Tourism Institute of Curitiba and supported by the State of Paraná Tourism Secretariat, on October 31, 2023, in the beautiful cultural space “Capela Santa Maria”, with 215 public and private authorities present, with the main theme “DTI – Smart Tourist Destinations” with lectures and panels with public and private synergy on this theme in the Capital and Metropolitan Region, addressing strategic issues of integration of hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, MICE, with technology, sustainability, public policies, attracting investments and opportunities with the approval of the gaming and casino law.

The opening lecture was given by Bruno Omori, President of IDT-CEMA, who introduced the meaning, development and international success stories of “Smart Tourist Destinations”, whose concept was defined by the “Sociedad Mercantil Estatal para la Gestión de la Innovación y las Tecnologías Turísticas, SAMP (SEGITTUR) of Spain”, in 2013, as “an innovative tourist space, accessible to all, consolidated on a cutting-edge technological infrastructure that guarantees the sustainable development of the territory, which facilitates the interaction and integration of the visitor with the environment and increases the quality of their experience in the destination and the quality of life of the residents”.

Omori brought to light the constant demand to create synergy between the tourism trade, government and population with integrated strategic planning and actions focused on sustainable results (economic, social and environmental). He presented projections for the growth of exports and GDP of world tourism. He closed the presentation with opportunities for the State of Paraná with the approval of Gaming and Casinos in Brazil, especially to develop the DTI in all tourist regions, with 1 Integrated Casino Resort, 2 Tourist Casinos and Bingos enhancing the destinations, bringing national and international investments, creating new demands for employment and income for the population, and strengthening tourism in Paraná.

Foram realizadas visitas técnicas do IDT-CEMA com a ADETUR Rotas do Pinhão, á pontos estratégicos do turismo da região metropolitana de Curitiba, especialmente ao Parque Ecológico Campo Mago, com projeto estratégico de transformação em Parque Temático, Resort Hoteleiro, Centro de Convenções, Espaço de Shows e com a aprovação da legislação de Jogos com potencial de implantação de uma modalidade física.

Foram realizadas audiências e reuniões entre o IDT-CEMA Bruno Omori, ADETUR Rotas do Pinhão Eros Tozetto, Marcio Assad e Simone Nunes, com o Secretário de Turismo do Estado do Paraná o Deputado Marcio Nunes, e Diretores da SETUR-PR Fabio Skraba, Deise Bezerra, Geraldo Cruz e Ronnie Onofre, na pauta o desenvolvimento do turismo regional, destinos turísticos inteligentes, investimento em projetos turísticos no Paraná, e as oportunidades para o Estado do PR com a aprovação dos jogos e cassinos. O Secretário Marcio Nunes destacou os investimentos em promoção e estruturação do turismo do PR, e destacou que além de Foz do Iguaçu principal destino turístico, especialmente Curitiba tem grande potencial econômico e estratégico para ser instalado um Cassino Integrado Resort ou Cassino Turístico, criando sinergias entre as políticas públicas, empresários e investidores do Estado, Brasil e Internacional.

A agenda se completou com uma audiência entre o IDT-CEMA, ADETUR Rotas do Pinhão e a Presidente Tatiana Turra do Instituto de Turismo de Curitiba (secretaria municipal de turismo), na pauta foi discutido o crescimento da ocupação e revpar da hotelaria inclusive aos finais de semana, das ações estratégicas para ser a cidade referencia de DTI no Brasil, e do potencial de instalação de uma modalidade de Cassino em Curitiba, assim como o dos Bingos, fortalecendo o potencial turístico da cidade e região metropolitana, destacou a presidente Tatiana.
